A Secret Weapon for Life’s Difficulties
Worship leader Beth Croft of Soul Survivor speaks about the importance of worship in the dark places. Beth shares about some challenging life circumstances and how she found God in the midst of those troubles – through worship. When we’re in the difficult trials life brings, worship is so important. It’s tempting for us to run from God. It’s tempting for us to stop worshiping Him because we’re not on one of those mountaintop experiences. It’s important to remember that worship is for the trial.
Worship is also a place of refuge for us to connect with the One who is able to save us, help us and comfort us.
Worship is where we can find Him and meet with Him in a very intimate way. Worship is also a place of refuge for us to connect with the One who is able to save us, help us and comfort us. We don’t have to feel like we’re in one piece to meet him. In fact, sometimes we can feel a bit haggard. We can find God when we look our worst, feel our worst and can’t make out the top from the bottom. When all of life seems to be a little inside out, we can find God in worshipping Him.
No matter whether we’re on the mountain or in the valley. There’s always a reason to give praise, thanksgiving, and worship. When we’re in the midst of pain and anxiety there’s always an opportunity to grow in the Lord. It’s important to remember that God is at work.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
